Trims
The help for this page of the Version 2 transmitter, in its newest words. A transmitter on V2 B92 or older shows older words.
On the transmitter: Model setupTrims
The four trims, on screen. Use them instead of the trim levers, or just to see the trims clearly.
Press '+' or '-' to move a trim.
'Reset' centres this bank's trims (every bank's, if 'Copy trims to all banks' is on).
'OK' keeps the changes and goes back to 'Model setup'.
The trims act only when the 'Trim multiplier' ('Model setup', 'Options') is above 0.
5 is the default, and a very good start.
Each trim has 40 steps either side of centre.
With 'Trim change clicks' on ('Transmitter setup', 'Sounds etc.'), each step clicks, and a beep marks the centre and each end.
For a helicopter with a flybarless system, turn the trims off:
set the 'Trim multiplier' to 0, and set all subtrims to 0.
Banks
With 'Copy trims to all banks' off ('Model setup', 'Options'), the trims apply ONLY to the bank in use, shown top left.
Move to subtrim
Once the trims are right, 'Move to subtrim' moves this bank's four trims into the subtrims. It asks first.
The four trims are then centred in all four banks.
Subtrims act in every bank alike, so this bank flies as before.
Other banks lose any trims of their own.
Other channels' subtrims do not change.
A subtrim already set is added to.
Subtrims always use a multiplier of 5. The move allows for any other 'Trim multiplier', so the servos stay where they were.
Take care
Each trim goes only into the subtrim of its 'Trim out' channel ('Model setup', 'Inputs').
A second servo on the same stick (two aileron servos, say) loses that trim: set its subtrim by hand.
In Mode 2, do not use it for now: the elevator and throttle trims would go into each other's subtrim.
Check each control before you fly.
Trim levers
If a trim lever moves its trim the wrong way, set the directions again: 'Transmitter setup', 'Calibrate', 'Calibrate trims ...'.
