The Barnet Chamber Music Club

Zelenka's 4th trio sonata in a concert

The Barnet Chamber Music Club exists so that more people, both listeners and performers, can enjoy really good chamber music.

Opportunities, even for professional musicians, to play smaller chamber works are extremely rare these days, because most of the available money goes to opera, ballet, symphony orchestras, and commercial recordings.

Yet much of the music written for smaller ensembles is great, very entertaining and unjustly neglected.

Hence our performers are all professional musicians, and just occasionally the most exceptionally gifted students. No amateurs :-)

The usual venue for performances is St. Stephen's Church, Bells Hill, Barnet, EN5 2UR.

Usually, concerts there are on the first Sunday of each month at 8.00 PM.

The acoustics are fabulous, and admission is free.

More details of the concerts can be seen by clicking a link below.
