Model IDs

The help for this page of the Version 2 transmitter, in its newest words. A transmitter on V2 B92 or older shows older words.

On the transmitter: Model setupModel IDs

Store or delete the receiver ID kept with this model memory.

'Stored ID': the ID kept with this model memory.
'No ID stored' means it has none yet.
'This model's ID': the ID of the receiver connected now.
'No ID received' means no model is connected.

To store the ID

  1. Load the model ('Model setup', then 'Models').
  2. Switch the model on and let it connect.
  3. Press 'Store this model's ID', then 'OK' to the question.
'No ID to store.' means no model is connected.

To delete the ID

Press 'Delete stored ID', then 'OK' to the question.
Nothing else changes. It works at any time, connected or not.

'Check for duplicates' lists the ID of every model memory, and finds any ID stored twice.
'OK' goes to the front screen.

Why it matters

Every receiver has its own ID. With automatic model selection (AMS) on, the transmitter loads the model memory that holds the ID of the model as it connects. So each ID must be stored with the right model memory, and with one only.
If no memory holds that ID, you are asked whether to store it with the model now loaded.
With AMS off, the model now loaded is used, whatever its ID.
Switch AMS on or off in 'Transmitter setup', then 'System'.

Storing an ID here does not remove it from any other model.
After moving a receiver, press 'Check for duplicates'.

If you are not sure an ID is right

Turn AMS off, load the right model and connect. Then press 'Store this model's ID', and turn AMS on again.

A backup file keeps the model's ID; a restore brings it back.
A model sent to another transmitter takes its ID with it.
